Good product, with a mounting flaw

I definitely like the GrooveMate, and it’s well made and seems durable. My issue is with the velcro mounting setup: I simply cannot get it to sit tightly against the shell of my floor tom. As such, it flops around and gets in the way a bit. Hopefully I can figure out a better/stronger way to mount it. If I can, I’ll up my star rating significantly.

Great product; swapped velcro for zip ties

This is a really great product, but the Velcro is too wide to slip comfortably between the shell and the tension rod… The lugs, at least in the case of my brand (Gretsch) do not allow for that wide of a strap. So I swapped the Velcro out for miniature zip ties, with great success.

Live the comcept if this product, i purchased 2 to use across a couple of kits i own. Only constuctive complaint i have is to have a piece if felt or something on the back side ( against the drum ) to mit scratch the finish. I leave mine on the drum in the cases, so i just cut & glued a piece on.
