This passed the girlfriend kinetic testing cycle and she even agrees that it has made the espresso machine "happier" and did not interupt her critical 5am coffee.

Great grinder. Noise level is low, perfect for most domestic situations. My original order got lost (still not sure what happened) but I notified Mahlkoenig and they overnighted me this grinder. Great way to save the transaction!

I toiled over the decision to buy this grinder and was excited to use it when it arrived. The packaging and look are great! A lot of attention to detail was paid in developing this grinder and the packaging.
My impressions after using it for about a week. It is quiet, adjustments are easy to make, and the magnetic plate is a nice feature to help with cleanup. I was expecting the grinder to have little to no retention. That has not been my experience. The bellows is needed to eliminate retention. The grinds make more of a mess than I expected as well. The grind quality has been excellent for espresso. I will test out on pour overs in the coming week. Overall, I am happy with the grinder and would recommend it.
