Brown Leather Welding Jacket

As a new welding student, but a guy in his middle years, I decided to get the cheap green FR smock from my local welding supply. You know, lets see if we like this whole welding thing before spending $$$ on all of the stuff you can buy. By week 3 of the program we have started with horizontal welds and I was regularly burning through the green smock and cooking my left arm. I've worn the Slickman shirt a couple times now and I can say that it is 100% more effective at protecting me against all of the spatter that comes off of a 7018 rod in the horizontal position for 5 - 6 hours of welding. No more burns on me! Thank you Slickman! I'll be back when I need more gear! Oh, very fair price and the fit was exactly what I expected for a men's XL. Not too hot either, but a little air flow helps.

Fits as described - get what you would normally wear. It could be an inch or 2 longer for the type of shirt/ jack for raising arms would be my only correction. But it’s sturdy and well worth the buy . XL for me 6’1 about 225 weight with broad shoulders.

Great shirt. Sizing is perfect and the quality is outstanding. I think it will take a minute to air out.
