Quality and material concerns
Overall material concerns for these brushes.
See my other reviews. I enjoy this brush the most—but the quality issues are hard to ignore. After only light use (just gentle tapping), the ferrule developed noticeable dents. On closer inspection, the material doesn’t even seem like sturdy metal—it feels more like a thin, soft delicate tin. I’ve experienced similar issues with other KJH brushes as well, I have all of them. This brush began chipping along the handle, which makes me question whether the material is even real wood. Sorry no pics. Brushes are at my office. I own a large collection of makeup brushes across many brands, and I’ve never had tools wear down or damage this quickly. For a brand positioned at this level, I expected much better durability and materials. I haven’t had these brushes long, and I take good care of my tools—especially at this price point, where purchases feel like a real investment. That’s why the quick deterioration is so disappointing.
