Always good to have spare rubber tips

I go hiking on rocky bluffs and steep stony CCC trails over extremely slippery quartzite. The steel tips on my Paria poles are great on sand or dirt but can be extremely hazardous on these near-glassy surfaces. The rubber tips are a must. They do eventually wear out, the steel tip pokes through, and I have been in dicey situations without spares. I always have at least one pack of spares because I also give them out to folks I meet on the trail who are less experienced and are trying to navigate the quartzite with steel tips.
