This may be the most important book I've read this year. It ties together all the themes of family discipleship, family economies, homeschooling, durable trades, fatherly headship, and missional living--all in one place and with helpful examples and encouragement.

Great book, uncovers a lot of how and why things that were normative in Christendom for thousands of years are no longer the norm, and what we can do about it.

Great book, very approachable. Written like Pastor Madden is sitting at the table with you, discipling you through these concepts. I read the whole the book to my wife, and it inspired both of us greatly. This is the kind of book I wish I could give myself 13 years ago, when our family started. I plan to get several copies to give the younger men/families in my congregation.
