Better than expected
I have used botanicals in the past to add some tannins to my Betta tank. I had never tried alder cones. Im not sure if alder cones work really well in general or if these ones are exceptionally nice but they added SO much color to my tank. I actually over did it at first. After a water change, my tanks are perfect. These cones work exceptionally well and dont require much to add lots of tannins! I will be stocking up on more

Wonderful Addition to Tank!
I added just three of these to my 10 gallon small community tank. The tannins they released were amazing and my corys and shrimp are doing better than ever! I would recommend both these and some Indian almond leaves for your tank for sure!
