Quick answer: Saskatoon serviceberry is a cold-hardy native fruiting shrub for USDA zones 2–7 that grows 6–15 ft tall and 6–10 ft wide in full sun to part shade. It is grown for sweet, blueberry-like June berries for fresh eating and pies. Plants usually fruit in 3–5 years; one plant fruits alone, but a second improves yield.

The saskatoons were packed nicely and looked very healthy, thick, and strong! They had nice root systems, and fat buds. I am very excited to see them wake up in spring!
