Neater stitches
This is one of my favorite layering tools, I have many. Unfortunately I lost the one I had so immediately ordered another from Needlepoint. Com. When using this small tapered layering tool your stitches are more uniform and neater looking. If you have never used a layering tool I highly recommend starting with this one.
