Early Jalapeño Pepper

Not so early

This pepper is mid to late season in zone 10b coastal even with early January planting. Puts out a large amount of smaller roundish peppers by May/June. Normal shaped peppers from late July to early November. Subject to blight.

Early Jalapeno

I planted these seeds in starter soil and cups in my greenhouse like I do every year. I was surprised that many of them did not sprout despite the proper watering and sun. I do have 6 that have persevered and are about 2 inches tall right now and have been transplanted to my raised garden. I'm waiting to see how the fruits produce this year.

Excellent Every Year

We've gotten these four years in a row now and they always produce! Our garden is a bit of a mess this year and even having to go through some abuse they still are doing really well. We always have enough to freeze over the winter so they have a good amount of peppers produced.
