This is my fifth kitchen vacuum pump, third manual. It is very efficient, requires only a few strokes to get a good vacuum. And the SS lids are the best of the three options I have used. They hold vacuum much longer than the others. It’s a great little pump, very durable and handy, quick to place in position, and a couch to remove. But I am a petite older lady and it is a strain on my elbows to Pull the vacuum. Most manual pumps work by pushing down, which is ergonomically easy. This one takes pulling upward. I am trying different postures and having some success at reducing the elbow pain. Until they redesign it to fix this I’m giving it 4 stars.

Seems to work great

I assume this is working. I've had a few pumps and this is the first I used and got the pressure release sound when I broke the seal. Not to mention the juice I sealed was five days old and still tasted very fresh. I am happy with my purchase.
