These socks would be a favorite if they were wider. Of all the Wide Open socks I have in a women’s XL, they fit the tightest. My toes and ankles are squeezed even after being worn a while. At the end of the day, I take them off and feel relief. But, I do like the weight of the material.

These socks are supposed to be for folks with wide feet and ankles…mine are actually pretty narrow. I tried these because I can’t stand how fancy sport socks have gotten with extra padding in places and/or tight bands to offer arch support. All of these modifications ruin socks for me. I just want simple, quick dry, comfortable socks. No nonsense. These fit the bill perfectly. My only wish is that they would offer more colors for the lightweight quarters.

I have been trying every brand of socks made, o think, looking for the perfect weight and fit. The Wide Open socks are what I’ve been searching for! Perfect weight. Not too stretchy but stretchy enough. Super comfortable around my ankles. I will be getting more.
