Deluxe Washable Wool Mattress Protector

I unknowingly put a mattress pad on our queen bed that had a water resistant backing. I could not understand why I was sweating every night. I blamed the newer mattress, which could have contributed as well. I was desperate and figured the price of the washable wool mattress pad was worth a try. It didn’t seem especially thick, but has a quality cotton fabric cover. It has worked great. It feels great under my body, I have not had one night of waking up cold and soaked. I have not washed and dried it yet. Hopefully that goes well.

I'm very happy with this. I no longer wanted a plush mattress pad, because comfortable as they are, they just get too hot. Instead I wanted something that breathed with very minimal padding. This does exactly the trick. As someone who tends to sweat where any part of me touches the mattress, I would say putting this mattress protector on has reduced that by about 85%. I can't say it's 100% perfect, but it's the best I've felt by a long shot. And I tried a lot of things marketed as "cooling." Turns out cooling does nothing. You need "breathable" and from what I've learned it doesn't get much more breathable than this. It also does add a nice very minimal amount of padding. But do not expect a noticeable amount there. That's not what it's meant for.

A very high quality product. Even the packaging is beautiful. Fit on my thick Queen mattress is perfect. And the breathable wool really makes a difference in comfort - probably the best night's sleep I've had in several years. Well worth the cost.
