They are in fact lighter than butyl tubes, but. . . they don't hold pressure as well. After 10 days of non use, they lose an average of 16psi whereas the butyl would only lose about 6pai. Max recommended psi on my Giant SLR rims is 70psi and I'm running 700x30 Schwalbe One tires. I didn't notice any rolling improvement. Are they worth the extra money? No, unless you're a fanatic for ultra light weight. I didn't feel the 200 total weight savings. My body alone can fluctuate more than that from ride to ride.

Exactly what I want for either my gravel or road riding peace of mind. Packs small, lightweight and fits in the new Silca saddle bag with all the extras I need for a day on the bike.

First time I've bought one of these and I'm carrying it on my mountain bike as a backup. Super light and compact, so that's great. Never actually used it, so that part remains to be seen.
