Yes - this is a game changer for sure! I've tried other thread splitter tools and always went back to my trusty bodkin (which was fastest for me). After a couple of dozen flies, this is my go-to for thread splitting and highly recommend if you're looking for an awesome tool!

Great tool. The burr is larger than and shaped differently then the Smahen. I have found this tool easier to split threads especially the flat larger denier.
I do use it a wee bit differently as to angle of attacn on flat threads.
It ships with a tip protector. I would recommend when done to put it back on.
The only comment I have is I wish it had an optional handle for those with fumble fingers, tremors and a messy desk with tools and you forget where you put something
