Honest Review!
This is my honest review of the shampoo bar, I would say the ease of use is what knocked it down for me. For my super fine, very dense long hair, it takes a really long time to rub away and get it worked into my hair, especially my roots. So long and so much effort, that I spend about ten minutes trying to get it into my scalp. The suds is very little, which I do know that soapiness/bubbles in a shampoo bar is not necessary, because ingredients are what do the exfoliating, but as someone with tons of hair, this bar proves to be a huge challenge for me. It does clean my hair, but not enough to actually feel like a full reset for my scalp. I used this bar for about two weeks now, playing around with it. I do love the scent and I like how my hair (the lengths) feels after I'm done rinsing, it feels fortified and not over stripped. But the thing about my scalp, is I need a GOOD reset. I need something that works a little better to remove buildup. I have to pair this with a Lush shampoo bar to give my hair volume and feel a refreshed scalp. If I use just this bar, I dry my hair and it still feels dirty at my roots-- I did even try double cleansing, with the bar, and I still have trouble with my roots not feeling fresh after I dry my hair. I've been using bars and trying new no-sud shampoos in my lifetime, so I'm familiar with low sud or no sud shampoo, and this one still needs some work, imo. I love the scent and when I have the time, it does do a good job, but not an ideal job. I appreciate that it doesn't over strip my natural oils! My roots needs a better stripping though, at least for my roots to feel refreshed and cleansed. Thank you for making something that works for so many people! For me, I think I'd like to see a version of this that's a little more sudsy for the girlies and the guys that need that extra cleanse.
