These Shortbread beads have texture all round with the coloured striped being indented, leaving a bumpy texture. They also do not feel like classic plastic they have a unique feel which is somewhat rough, ever so slightly like shortbread!
Their noise level as a mini loop I would say is a low to medium level depending on how you fidget with
