Mom LOVES it!!!
I bought the lined page version for my Mom. She loves how it handles little spills (because she uses it to write down recipes in the kitchen) and she has always loved using pencil over pen. The "stone paper" handles #2 pencil like a champ and when erased with a normal "Pink Pearl" eraser, the pencil erases so clean you cannot see anything was written on it before - a true erasing!
The Notebook A5 size is perfect as it fits in her elderly hands just right (she's closing in on 80)... it fits in her iPad carry case without bulking up, tearing or binding the pages other tablets of paper have. Yes, she uses an iPad Tablet and a paper tablet... but now a "stone paper" tablet.
As a gift, giving a notebook seems odd, but the moment she realized the pages were made of stone and how well it writes on and erases, I don't think she can ever use wood paper again!

Love the paper
I love the paper and will continue to buy. The paper is smooth and the ink dries perfectly. I’m an artist so I buy this exclusively for the effect of the ink on the page. I use the book as a journal, but the resulting image is so much better than any other paper medium that I’ve tried. I think that my only issue was in ordering direct. It took multiple weeks to get here and there was no way to contact the company or to find out where the package was at. At one point I wondered if it had been stolen off my porch.
