The Ressie Dink Black is a superb, stillwater indicator fly designed by Peaks Fly Fishing director and head guide David Johnson. Its dark midge-like profile sits in the surface film and remains visible in choppy water, while trout may take the fly itself as an emerging or drowned midge.

Works well as a duo fly for "searching" on rivers. They are floaty enough to lug a weighted nymph around, but natural enough to bring fish to the surface. Find your fish then switch to something more delicate.
