The Fred Bar

The Fred bar absolutely solves a problem, but I wanted to be 100% honest here. I’m 58 and write a 54 cm cutthroat and the reach from the Fred bar area up to the arrow bars is so short it’s almost negligible. so you gain about 4 to 6 cm back and a little bit up but other than that, I didn’t see the value mostly in the arrow bars not the Fred bar. The Fred bar is excellent extremely well-made well engineering, etc. and I understand why the cost is justified but I think it’s more for people in the 5 foot 10 to 6 foot 2 area. As a sidenote, I returned the flip up profile arrow bars, and I’m not sure what to do with the bread bar.

The right tool for the job

One of the best investments I’ve made for my bike. I spend a lot of long days in the saddle, and this has made an obvious improvement in comfort and overall ride quality. I ride a Salsa Cutthroat paired with Profile Design aero bars, and this setup has been a great fit for longer rides.
