Soft – Elbow Brace

Our senior lab mix tore something in his left elbow in April and it didn’t seem to be healing even though he was restricted to always being on a leash and no running. By the end of May, we found this brace and decided it was worth a try to help stabilize his leg so it doesn’t keep exacerbating itself. It did take a week or so for me to get the tension on the brace straps just right to where it wasn’t shifting down on our walks, it needs to be on pretty tight while leaving room for good circulation. He only wears it on his 2 short walks each day but it does seem to be helping! I wouldn’t trust this to stay in place while he’s lying down or rolling around in the house but he really has taken to it on our walks. Hopefully the continued stability keeps allowing slow healing to where we won’t need it anymore. Quality seems great, velcro straps are in good places making it very adjustable. He’s worn it in the rain a couple of times and it hasn’t gotten stinky yet.
