Blade guards
I have a number of these guards and sizes as I like to keep my all my knives together in a separate drawer ready for action. Putting them back in their presentation boxes after use would soon destroy the boxes.
These blade guards, do as they say and prevent personal damage when not in use, handling, or lifting out of storage.
The guards last well and have a beautifully soft internal texture which will not scratch the knife blades.
A word of warning: never ever put a carbon steel knife in a guard like this should it get damp for any reason, or your knife will rust.

Necessity
It’s a necessity to stop you from cutting your knife roll or to stop you from banging your knives around if you travel a lot and have a full knife bag, the s,m,l,XL sizes only and the square finish means some knife shapes fit a bit janky in them but as long as you make sure there on properly you’ll never have an issue.
