I can't t believe the difference a waxed chain makes. I can't believe I waited this long to try it. I've been riding bikes seriously for 30 years of my life, and am putting my palm to my face. I should have bought the Secret Sauce too. This stuff is great.

Smooth, quiet and clean

I don't have other hot waxes to compare this to, because it's my first, but it's a really pleasant experience on the bike. Durability and performance (friction) is the main thing that I guess distinguishes different wax formulas, but I leave that to other reviewers with more scientific methods. I'm very, very happy with this wax when it's fresh, and very confident that it's holding up well through at least 200km in dry conditions. Around the 200km mark is when my ears start to perk up a little bit to louder chain noise, and I will top it up in between hot waxes with some water-based drip wax. Better too soon than too late.
