My child is required to wear a black ribbon in her hair as part of their Sr. Corp uniform in their Fife and Drum Corp. I decided to purchase something more period correct and wider than what was issued since her hair is so thick. This ribbon looks great and falls more naturally than a polyester grosgrain or satin ribbon ever did. I like the thinness of the “fabric” and the width is perfect in relation to her braid.

Opaque Silk
Hues ■ are consistently on ribbon, while the choice every well compliment the garments manufactured by Samson Historical. I find double bow tieing from under ruffle linen cap to top, and then pinning works best for me with a 2 yard length. M
