Save yourself much FRUSTRATION
The stud is probably fine but the way the binoculars Swarovski 14 x 52 is engineered to accept the stud is terrible. It loosens up constantly and the binoculars will fall off the stud while on the tripod or the stud will fall off the binoculars while using them off the tripod. If you are planning on using a tripod with the 14's I highly recommend waiting until this issue gets addressed.

Swarovski 12x42 EL Range TA
The stud works perfectly on my new Swarovski EL Range 12x42 TA binos, but installation was tough. With the NL pure, the stud mounts on the outside of the hinge, but with the EL range, the stud has to mount facing inward facing the focus knob. Thats all perfectly fine and it works great, but you can’t get any sort of normal or T handle allen wrench in there to tighten down because the screw is recessed too deep in the stud for a normal L allen wrench, and there is no T handle style wrench that can fit between the stud and focus knob hinge on the bridge. So i ended up having to bend and cut a an allen wrench to fit in the bridge area for tightening the stud. I would suggest Outdoorsman provide a custom allen wrench with the stud that can fit in the bridge area for tightening so people can install it easily when they are using it on a new EL Range binocular. Other than the installation issue, everything works great and its a total game changer to be glassing from a steady tripod with 12x premium glass. Also allows for more precise targeting when ranging. Great product!
