Small Blackwing Slate Notebook - Black

The notebook is perfect for my needs. It fits snugly into both my tool apron and my work jacket. It’s great for jotting down reminders and an occasional “bon mot.”

The greatest notebook on the market. Period.

I virtually never write reviews, but I love this notebook so much that on this day, the day of my first Slate's retirement, I felt compelled to. I have been carrying a Slate Small notebook (dot grid flavor) in my bag every single day, for the past 356 days. I don't baby it, it just gets thrown in the bottom of a tote bag to knock around with my charger, keys, water bottle, and other random knick knacks. After a full year of this abuse it still looks nearly flawless. The corners are showing a bit of wear, but all the pages are intact, the spine is still solid, and the covers are sturdy as ever. Sitting next to a brand new one you can hardly even tell the difference between the two. I've carried countless notebooks from other brands, and none of them have held up nearly as well as this Blackwing. It's held all my daily notes and sketches, as well as my business cards and vaccine card in the clever back pocket. Even with heavy gel inks and felt markers, the paper refuses to bleed through. The size is perfect to contain all my notes yet still fit in an inner jacket pocket or small purse. Words simply can not describe how much I love this notebook, and I'm so excited for my next year of notetaking bliss with my new Slate. Please don't ever stop making this, Blackwing.
