Disappointed in Florida

I will start off by saying that I visited your establishment more than 10 years ago and was so happy with the donuts that I bought a bunch and brought them home with me. This year I had a hankering for apple cider donuts and remembered your delicious donuts. I went ahead and purchased the pack of two dozen donuts and two half gallons of apple cider. On the day of delivery I was disappointed that when they arrived (about 3:30pm) the cider was no longer cold. I stayed home to receive the delivery so not jeopardize anything spoiling. I immediately placed them in the fridge to cool and later served ourselves a glass. It was as I remembered, yummy. However, the donuts were a huge disappointment. They were so very dry and lacked the flavor I had enjoyed so many years ago. To be honest, my husband and I said that they tasted stale and bitter. We ate 2 1/2 donuts and ended up throwing the rest away (almost 2 dozen). Hopefully this was a random incident but at this time, I will opt out on any further purchases.

Though nothing beats being in Vermont in the fall to get these in person, the cider and the donuts were as good as I remember them! A glorious taste of Vermont when we can’t be there, and fresh even after being shipped! We went through the cider too quickly, though! We miss Cold Hollow!
