Can’t wash rope?

I washed my rope in a front loading washer, so it will just tumble around and it created an area where the inside of the rope started coming out I wrote you and I didn’t really get a satisfactory response for a while and then I got a response. Basically telling me I shouldn’t have washed the rope. I don’t think you understand how bad it smelled and the smell did come out after I washed it. The gap in the rope was right in the middle of the scheme so cutting it was not really an option. I basically wasted my money because I wasn’t able to use the rope for its intended use.
