I have been using various Sennheiser headphones for some 20 years, first from entry level models to HD600, HD650 and most recently HD800S. The upgrading journey has been satisfying as the more expensive models offers better audiophile quality sound.

Audiophile’s Dream

I auditioned the model on 3 separate occasions and compare to other Brand’s such as Focal which received rave reviews. However nothing beats the comfort, detail and soundstage of HD800S. Yes you need a good amp and I paired it with iFI Neo idsd.

Great Sound Solid Purchase

Half of my collection is from Sennheiser as the headphones generally have very good comfort for long hours of listening, along with great sound (backed by 3rd party measurements) and available spare parts to make the initial investment worthwhile (unlike 90% of other manufacturers).
