This is an excellent carabiner for roped travel. The gate latch can be easily manipulated while wearing a glove with one hand, making rope escape quicker and easier. The wide oval provides plenty of “work space” when passing rope, and when clipping additional elements. The construction creates a strong and durable piece of equipment for many climbing applications.
