It would be great for a toddler! The bongos themselves have no musical tone whatsoever unfortunately, but they look cute.

Like hitting cardboard

Very disappointed. There is no sound from these bongos. It is like hitting cardboard. I don't even know why they are sold as instruments. Yes, I have followed the instructions but there is no bounce, no resonance.
