Rachio 3 Smart Sprinkler Controller

Easy setup, mostly functional app

Because the unit is designed to be controlled remotely and programmed by using an iOS app, the functionality of the app is important. The good news is that if you're controlling lawn sprinklers, then the setup wizard leads you through a series of steps to set up your watering schedule. If you're using the system to water vegetables, trees or shrubs then it takes a bit of research to figure out the best way to set up the software. One of the most powerful features of the Rachio system is the "weather aware" feature. Even if you don't pay extra for the "heat wave boost" feature, the system is supposed to automatically adjust to weather conditions which is great but unfortunately the option to choose a different weather source doesn't work- no matter what source you choose, it defaults to their weather data provider, Aeris and will not change to your preferred weather data source.

Great Sprinkler Controller

The Rachio 3 has been working great since I installed it. Setup was easy, the app is simple to use, and I haven’t had any issues with it. I really like being able to control everything from my phone and easily make changes to the watering schedule. Very happy with it so far.

Easy to install and operate

This controller is well designer and easy to use. It is WiFi enabled.
