Well what a difference i lowered strings to (Low E .020", A&D to 018", G&B 016" High E 014" on my Eastman E2 OM Oh My Goodness, first thing I noticed was Barre Chords are effortless. This truly was one of my better tool Purchases. The company Elmer were easy to order from item came quickly and well packaged, I am well satisfied with my purchase Thank you to all at Elmer.

Got sick of paying techs to setup my guitars so I started learning on my own. This tool has really helped me get good consistent results. It’s easy to use too. Needs a light.

Finally gave in ....

I've been putting off getting this tool for a while, thinking that with a combination of string gauges, feelers and other tools I could nail the string height at the 1st fret. Well, after multiple attempts and consistently finding my measurements were inconsistent and imprecise, I gave up and bought this tool. I don't call many tools "Game Changing", but this one truly is. The ability to precisely file out successively deeper nut slots and measure the effect in very small increments is just plain cool. This is the first time I have been confident that the action at the first fret is uniformly at the desired height. It is so worth not risking cutting the slots too deep on the hope and guesstimate that they will be correct. Had I bought this earlier I could have avoided multiple nut slot corrections and nut replacements. No regrets, except putting off the purchase till now.
