Amazing fit and quality. I love these pants for their ruggedness and feel. Pockets are perfect. Love the back pocket closures. Only one thing I would change... just a tiny bit more stretch. Otherwise, perfection.

Once my most favorite Dovetail but good things never seem to last

These pants have been my favorite style ever since my first pair, three years ago! I own several other Dovetails -I also enjoy Maven X from the same era- but noticed a slight change in fit of the Day Construct when I purchased a second pair last year when the first one was starting to wear a bit; it felt slightly looser but I didn’t give it much thought. However, this time around -my third pair- I notice that the pants are extremely roomy in the thighs, esp. on the inside and outside of thighs. My guess is that there’s at least 2” extra material per pant leg. The Day Construct used to have a nice flattering fit and yet was very easy to work in; I am a gardener and they had plenty room to crouch and squat. The latest ones are so loosy-goosy in the upper legs now that it’s a completely different fit. Waist is still the same and length too, but my initial excitement when wearing my first pair of Dovetails is over with these. Other DT pants all have their own sizing and fit issues, which makes it hard to know what to buy. Some of the stretchy materials started tearing after a dozen times of wear and washing. That’s why I prefer the Day Construct material, but it’s just another loose fitting workpant now.

Low rise!?

Love the material and the make and the length... but what a short fly and was low rise! Maybe that is just a side effect of the longer pants but the crotch is not proportionate.
