Mary Maxim Starlette Yarn
I was curious about this yarn as it's the signature Mary Maxim yarn and has great reviews. The colors are vibrant, the quality there, it is soft, but It didn't wow me. It glided on my hook, no snags, and the stitch definition was there. But. It had a dull matt finish, no shine, and as a result it looked plain. Nothing fancy.
I think part of the problem with this yarn was the 'sale.' I contacted customer service and was told only select colors were on sale, not all of them. So. If anyone is interested in this yarn, double check the prices. It may be only two colors are on sale and they may not be the ones you want.

Mary Maxim all the way
I'm so glad to find Mary Maxim. I happened upon it from a search on Amazon, tried a variegated green and then researched the actual company. I ordered 10 skeins of Starlette and am happy with the softness and smooth feel while crocheting. In the future I intend to try different lines of yarn for other projects than the current blankets and afghans. I enjoyed learning about the origins of your company and that it's still a family business. Thank you! from North Carolina.
