If I'm not mistaken, the chest pocket with the zipper is completely waterproof. If not, it's extremely water resistant. I'd say the majority of the backpack is extremely water resistant. I got one for me and my older brother for when we're hiking around his property, his property also has cougar and bear. So I appreciate the molly webbing on the chest of the pack. It allows me to attach my qls system which makes a nice chest rig It's a perfect day bag and I foresee myself using it and abusing it. It's for sure going to be my go-to adventure bag.
