I put them way up the hook shank on my bucktail when fluking so there's always a bit of attractant even after the spearing is swiped.

After an experiment on spreader in the Western Basin of Lake Erie, Perch prefer hooks tipped with the eye drop much more than without. The drops are durable and stay on for hours even after many bites. The eye in the ball stays intact and does not fall off. Will be buying more. Thanks Ivo!
