An Excellent Layering System for Backpacking and Everyday Use
I purchased the Nebo Windbreaker, Tushar Rain Jacket, and Vario Jacket primarily for backpacking, and they have exceeded my expectations. I used them on the Uinta Highline Trail in both 2025 and 2026, and all three performed exceptionally well.
What I appreciate most is the versatility. Depending on the temperature and weather conditions, I can wear any one of these jackets individually or layer all three together when conditions demand it. Having that flexibility is a huge advantage when backpacking, especially when the weather can change quickly.
I originally bought these jackets specifically for backpacking, but they have become part of my everyday wardrobe as well. I regularly wear them for daily activities, including e-biking to and from work.
I’m 6’2” and wear an XL, and the fit works well for me. The jackets have also proven to be very durable. Despite extensive use, including two seasons on the trail and regular everyday wear, I haven’t had any rips or tears.
The hoods are another standout feature. They provide excellent protection in windy conditions, and they’re practical for biking because I can wear a bike helmet over them.
Overall, I’m extremely happy with these jackets. They’re versatile, durable, and adaptable to a wide range of conditions. If you’re looking for a layering system that works for backpacking but is equally useful in everyday life, I highly recommend considering these three together. They’ve earned their place in my gear lineup.

Perfect for Alaska
This is a high-quality jacket. My daughter and I use these in Alaska, in all kinds of conditions. This summer we used them for the Brooks Range. We hiked 275 miles this summer and these were in our packs every day. We ended up using them repeatedly (in a pretty severe storm in the Brooks) and they held up through everything (including bushwacking). Perfect rain jacket. Great price considering the quality. Thank you OV!
