Dexcom G7 Single Sensor

Very insightful tool!

This was gifted to me from my father as the device was not supported on my dad's phone technology (do read the fine print). My partner 'installed' the CGM on the back of my arm as I was concerned that it would hurt, it didn't. Making sure that you had your phone on bluetooth and within 6 metres of your body continuously took some getting used to for a low-tech user. The first 12 hours I experienced many alerts and alarms as the device seemed to need to calibrate, this was a steep learning curb e.g being awoken on night 1 (if you are lying too hard on the device), alerted for being out of range. For context I am in mid-life and in perimenopause that has led me to investigate hormones, health and longevity. I had intuition about what particular food groups were making me feel in terms of 'spikes and troughs', wearing this for 10 days gave me hard data. The app allowed me to log my food and exercise and this was mapped in relation to my unique body reactions that I could then downloaded as a report. I feel confident in using this newly gained information; along with modifying diet and exercise that has been empowering to my future lifestyle decisions.

First time with a G7

Awesome. As a pre diabetic trying to learn more about how various foods affect my BSL, this was a really great tool. I see myself using the G7 again intermittently as well as recommending it to patients. Thank you :-)
