Why don’t Toyota do this?

Purchased and installed knob and gear shift extension on a 79 single cab. Puts gear shift in much more comfortable driving position and feels completely natural for it to be there. Have to wonder why Toyota never made it this long originally. Cannot recommend enough. One of the cheapest, most worthwhile improvements you can make
