Skol!

Absolute love this. Smells wonderful.

NOTE: This photo was taken on New Year's Day since I thought it would fit the occasion. In hindsight, it certainly did. This candle is easily one of my favourites, be it for Yule or ANY time of year. When I had read about the "strong spirits" component to this candle's scent, I was worried if it might be too boozy for me, but it wasn't. My nostrils had certainly picked the alcoholic notes, but they were largely tempered by the sweet smell of (toasted) honey. The smokiness was present, but it was only just a hint as the label described, adding a unexpected facet to this already intoxicating aroma. It was not difficult to imagine enjoying a full horn of honeyed wine near a mead-hall's blazing hearth. As a connoisseur of sweet scents, providing they are not cloying or simply TOO sweet, Skol's surprisingly decadent aroma hit the spot. I cannot stop smelling it even after the flame has been extinguished. That shows just how much this candle exceeded my expectations, and how Mythologie's elves had knocked it out of the park. I will certainly drink to that~.

This was the winter scent I have been wanting. Not cloying, and not artificial smelling. It's just a nice mild scent, and sets the scene for hibernating for the season.
