Maurten revolutionized sports nutrition with its Hydrogel Technology. Top athletes covet the Gel 100, but they wanted a bit more.
Now, Maurten offers an even higher-carb option with the Gel 160 – a 40 g serving of energy utilizing the same Hydrogel Technology.

Good size
I use the 160 instead of the 100 as I tend to refuel more often than I used to and it's easier to carry 3 160 than 5 100. It's the same gel as the 100, just more of it.

High carbohydrate content per gel
What I like most is the high carbohydrate content per gel, making it a great option for long training sessions and races where maintaining a consistent fueling strategy is key.

Great consistency (not runny)
Maurten gels have a great consistency, they are actually a gel. Many other 'gels' on the market should be called 'syrups' because they are thin (and too often result in making a mess, especially when they are warm). I sometimes eat half of a Maurten Gel 160, fold the pouch over and stick it in my pocket, then eat the other half 20 minute later to pace my carb intake. Neutral flavor too.
