Best boots on the market in this style. Leather uppers are breathable and the soles are pliable rubber that provide traction and flexibility in extremely cold temps. The rubber bottoms are fully waterproof keeping your feet dry even when submerged in water and slush. Very comfortable and well made and can easily be worn for relatively long walk / hikes. The tongue is also stitched to the top of the cuff which prevents any snow / slush from entering the boot from the laces. I have tried several other brands over the years and none of them come close to Baffin in terms of build quality, comfort and warmth. Only minor gripe is that they are not easy to cinch tight and are a loose fit compared to a hiking style boot, though this should be expected for this style boot (no boots in this style have ever able to lace tight) * I purchased these for snowshoeing and while they work well, I wish they had an option for the composite toe box so they would not collapse when strapped in snuggly.
