ProSpec® Chrome Premium Saltwater Braid

Excellent braid

I replaced 80lb braid on my Penn Fathom 40NLD2 with Berkley ProSpec solid braid and able to put 500 yards of 80lb with 50’ of 60lb mono top shot. It seems to be about 15% thinner than Sufix 832 with the same feel and texture. The FG knot strength is also about the same strength. It’s someway a game changer since I’m only able to put 475 yards of sufix and Daiwa J8 braid and a 15’ flourocarbon leader. That 60’ difference makes a big difference in my psyche and bit more confidence having a full 500 yards backing also the mono absorbed the crazy amount head shakes from bluefin. Also got 500 yards of 50lb solid to fill a torque 25 for flylining live bait. Definitely will order the heavier 100-130lb for my night jigging setups.
