Painted on the pavement outside Receiving Company on both Recruit Depots, the iconic Yellow Footprints show newly arrived Poolees where to form up at attention after scrambling off the bus that delivered them to USMC Recruit Training. They have symbolized the first step in the transformation from civilian to Marine since the 1960s.
