Most bike headlights are flashlights with a handlebar strap: a round hotspot that lights up the sky, the trees and the eyes of whoever is coming the other way. Detour is built the way a car's low beam is. You get a wide, even spread of light from your front tire out to where you're looking, with a sharp cutoff at the top so drivers, other

Great Light!
My riding consists of mostly gravel, two track and back roads. The Detour provides more than enough light to see what is in front of you when the darkness seems to swallow lesser lights. I’m sure that oncoming riders and vehicles appreciate the cutoff beam pattern as to not burn their retinas out! Next purchase will be the Hangover helmet light. Thanks for superior lighting Matt!

Great light, wide and bright!
I have two of these lights and they work really well. Hold firm on the bar and can take a beating on the rough terrain. Holds a charge well and customer service is excellent and a rarity today that someone will actually respond to you. My only suggestion is if you have something like the Red Shift Kitchen sink handlebar with a triangle addition, the bar is more narrow for that section and the Outbound light here doesn't fit the smaller bar. On the main handlebar it is snug and terrific though and probably the main location 99% of users will put it. All in all, 5 out of 5!

Great light, great company
I’ve had my Detour light a couple seasons now and it’s been fantastic. So good, in fact, that I bought a second one for my girlfriend and have talked a few of my riding buddies into getting one. Lots of light, good beam pattern, good battery life. Best I’ve owned. And they do indeed stand behind it and repair it when you mess it up, which I’ve put to the test. 10/10.
