The form of Kina comes from the shell of the sea urchin — kina to Māori — which David found frozen beneath the Antarctic ice in 2005, still warm enough from the sun to have melted the ice around it. Built on the same geometry as Coral and Floral, its woven bamboo shell connects in soft, rounded lines.

The Kina design is ideally suited to our beachouse home and something we've really wanted for quite a while, so it's really wonderful to now have it in our space.

The Kina is a great shape & works beautifully over a large dining table and in a living area with high ceiling. Before I decided on the size the design team used a photo of our dining area to insert 2 sizes of Kina so I could see which was the best scale. This was very helpful & helped me decide on size. Excellent customer service from their in house team. Thank you!

This light is stunning, and my daughter made it up from kitset very easily.
I would highly recommend this light, I purchased the black on the outside, and natural wood color inside.
