Custom Fire Inlander

I read the reviews before i bought these. People claimed that they're very comfortable right out of the box. I did not have that experience. They are understandably stiff and still require a lot of breaking in. They caused several blisters on my first short hike. The quality seems excellent. However, what's the point of inserts if I can't even get them in there in the first place? They stick to the walls and end up clamped. Wearing these boots without inserts caused knee pain due to lack of impact absorption. Also, they smell awful for weeks. These are my first boots of this kind, hence I didn't know what really to expect.
