Great Book! Buy one for yourself and one for your priest!

Overall, this is an excellent book. You have all of the readings from the Apostle and Evangelikon, as well as the Prophetologion. So, one can follow the annual cycle of readings very easily. This allows one to better prepare for liturgy on Sunay, as well as grow in lectio divina. The font is a perfect size for reading. The book sits comfortably in the hand when reading. There are plenty of ribbons. TH=he transaltion of the New Testatment is the wonderful Eastern Orthodox Bible translation. The only negative thing is the calendar. The calendar is focused on the Russian usage as opposed to the Greek usage. We also have certain western saints included that the Russians declared were acceptable to Orthodoxy. However, when western saints that were traditionally in Greek calendars, such as St. Benedict of Nursia and Pope Leo of Rome are excluded in favor of a nonentity like Swithun (40 days of rain anyone?) I find myself questioning the accuracy of the Calendar.
