Liberty Lunch was a live-music venue in Austin, Texas. Liberty Lunch hosted music acts such as Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Smashing Pumpkins, the Dave Matthews Band, Run DMC, U2, and many more. It opened in 1975 and was considered by most to be one of the best music venues in Austin until closing its doors in 1999.
